Been ages sitting and typing in my thoughts. So many loose thoughts here and there...let me start with one..
Since we decided not have television at home since 15 years now, after Raina was born, we searched through net to find appropriate rhymes, songs, dances, serials and now movies.
When she was 3 years old, Barney was the most favorite till she turned 5. She would sing and dance on the songs, we would listen to them in the car.
When she turned 4, we did few science experiments of volcano, growing roots and sprouting beans. That is when we came across the kids program, Sid the Science Kids. She still enjoys going through the episodes.
Then came BBC CBebees series, so we are hooked to I can cook, Dr Ranch, Mister Maker. We still watch this on and off.
Gordon Ramsay has been her favourite with Masterchef Junior episodes. We do watch Nigella Lawson(episode with her kids around) and Laura Vitale's(Laura in the Kitchen and Recipe rehab show once in a while.
Then came the Jurassic age, fascination with dinosaurs. Dinosaur train was her favourite. We had everything dinosaur in our home from bag, to cups to waterbottles, to books.
Now is the phase where she enjoys full length movies since few weeks. So we kept Friday as movie night, with pizza or burger.
Here are the movies we watched and will add on as we watch...

8) Frozen
9) Paper Planes
Since the last movie, making paper planes is next craze in our home. Everyone is either making a dart plane, a glider, a boomerang plane,....more on this as we go pro in it...

My dearest Mon,
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that little Raina enjoys so many activities with you at home! We also have our Friday-night movies and home-restaurant and Holiday 'Home-cinemas' but more on those later my sweet!! I'm so happy that you've rekindled our sharing of experiences. I will keep writing once I'm in India (on Tuesday Morning this coming week). My phone won't work, so we'll have to rely on e-mail and laptops, rather than whatsapp. Give my love to Raina and Harit and pranams to Auntyji and Uncleji!
